Elieser Kaplan is the senior partner of a tax law firm that he founded in 1991. He received an LL.M. degree, summa cum laude, in 1986 and an LL.B. degree, cum laude in 1978, both from Tel-Aviv University School of Law.
Mr. Kaplan provides tax advice to multinational companies, banks and financial institutions, industrial and hi-tech companies, infrastructure and real property companies as well as to some of the wealthiest high net individuals and families. His extensive experience includes tax planning for international corporate businesses, tax advantaged financings, structuring cross-border investments, structuring intellectual property transactions, tax planning for investment funds and for multinational families including complex trust structures, corporate mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, reorganizations, international real property transactions, CFC issues and international joint ventures.
Mr. Kaplan is highly reputed for his innovative and original international tax planning and structuring. His groundbreaking practical solutions are designed to meet the challenging business and personal needs of his clients.
He represents many clients in tax controversies with Israel Tax Authority and various tribunals on matters involving advance rulings, controversies, investigations and litigations. He has a reputation for innovative and extremely successful resolution of complex tax disputes.
Mr. Kaplan was an adjunct faculty lecturer in Tel-Aviv University School of Law from 1993 to 2004 where he taught the course on International Taxation. He has also advised Israel Tax Authority on various aspects of international tax law.
Mr. Kaplan is a member of the Bar in Israel. His native language is Hebrew, and he is fluent in English.
